Skin Ulcer: Pyoderma Gangrenosum

Pyoderma Gangrenosum is a rare ulcerative skin condition with chronic and recurrent course. It is commonly associated with underlying systemic disease.

A 45‐year‐old Nepalese female came to OPD with 4 months history of itchy red raised lesion with scales with few pus points on bilateral soles.A diagnosis of Palmoplantar Psoriasis was made and treatment was started. Because of geographical difficulty, she could not follow up for opd. After three months, she developed multiple painful pus points on reddish base over the front of left leg. These pustules ruptured to form ulcers over 3‐4 days which rapidly joined to form large irregular ulcers of 10 × 8 cm² with bluish border and overhanging edge over 1‐2 weeks.
